Lesson 3: What to Do When We Get It Wrong

Lesson Overview

Those of us who have chosen to follow Jesus are called to live peacefully—we’re called to practice forgiveness just as we’ve received forgiveness from Jesus. It isn’t an easy path to follow, but it’s the wise, right way to go. This lesson will help your teenagers consider how they can work on reconciliation through forgiveness. The hope that comes from grace offers young teenagers a future that depends on their relationship with Jesus.

Lesson Objectives

  1. WHAT: When headed in the wrong direction or dealing with a broken relationship, teenagers can experience the grace and hope that comes through receiving and offering forgiveness.
  2. WHY: Because young teenagers are learning to navigate relationships and their growing independence from parents, they need direction for making it right—Jesus offers wisdom for living a life filled with love, forgiveness, and restoration.
